This was a really fun job I finished before I went to Hawaii. It’s a 35 x 12 inch poster design (front/back) for Hillside‘s annual report. They wanted it to have a kid-like spirit (since Hillside is a family agency) and for it to celebrate their programs’ proven success. Also, Believing is seeing. Visions and manifesting those visions. I proposed the caterpillar because it felt very innocent and hopeful and determined–like a child. I wanted the inside to be an explosion of color and life with the ‘grown-up’ butterfly right in the midst of it. I also offered the lettering for the cover which seemed to feel more intimate than a set font.
An enthusiastic and fun client (group) = a happy illustrator. Thanks again, Dona!
