WOW! talk about blasts from the past! Mrs. Pretto! how are you? i hope you are well! i’ll never forget slumber parties at your house, playing ‘light as a feather’! ha, ha! thanks for your sweet comment. if you find those pictures, i’d LOVE to see them. i was sad to miss Tammy in stl, but we all talked about a reunion so i hope that happens. please, keep in touch!

and hmmmm, texas??? it has to be Uncle Karl + Aunt Irene! (because I saw Uncle Paul + Aunt Gerry commented on another post)! yes, we’re in Taos—when you coming to visit??? we welcome visitors–especially family! xojenny

Hi Jenny! We remember that Christmas, including the wall paper in the kitchen and... Uncle Andy (?) as Santa! Of course the others in the picture are Aunt Ady and Cousin Renee.

I was so happy when Tammy said you had contacted her.

I fondly remember the entertainment that you always provided when hanging around the Pretto kids. And, I have some childhood photos that will look for and forward to you (one in particular comes to mind :))....perhaps you will be able to draw some inspiration for them as well.

hey Doug–remember the good ol’ days down at 18th and Vine? jazz, beer, and drawing from 2-6 am? ah, i miss that.

thanks for your comment, andrew–glad you like the photos. i don’t think of it when i’m taking pictures, but i guess they do look like my collages and paintings. i remember students saying that about the india photos. things are great here! digging in the garden and loving long hikes in the warmer weather. also diving deeper into the chai book–i’m super excited! also starting on my next kids book soon. hope you are enjoying your thesis! looking at all your work (and other IA student blogs) makes me miss and crave that energy…mmm, grad school…

I always love looking at your photos. I especially enjoyed these ones. They look so much like your collage/painting/prints. Something I am aspiring to do with all my work (consistant flow of work no matter what media, I think is what I mean?).

George was actually talking about your photos for the chai tea book yesterday.
