I recently finished this for Oopsy Daisy Fine Art for Kids. It is a growth chart (ruler will be on right) and can be personalized with the child’s name in the clouds to read “—’s world wonders”. I designed it in collage to go with my World Map and/or my ABC Explore the World.
It was such a fun project, traveling around in the ethers and throughout time discovering all sorts of interesting facts about these wonders. With researching on the web, it’s easy to find conflicting information (especially with facts and numbers) so I found several similar references for each fact, and in some cases, rounded or estimated. I love doing commissions that directly link to my personal interests, like traveling. Out of these wonders, I’ve been to Mt. Everest, the Grand Canyon, the Taj Mahal, Mt. Rushmore, Niagara Falls, Golden Gate Bridge, and the Great Barrier Reef. There’s lots more to see in the world?!

Below is my original sketch which changed a little as I developed the finished art.
If you’re interested, you can order it in my shop. Enjoy!

Found you through the article Illustration Friday did about you! I was immediately drawn to your colorful burts of art! I’ve a friend who introduced me once to the girls at Oopsy Daisy in their Atlanta showroom… I love what they select and SO love the map you’ve done for them! Have you done lots for them? I’m thinking you have? OMGoodness… seriously… May I admire you?! I don’t mean to sound so cheesy…Way to go! Love where your art is going!

I love this, Jenny! You’ve been to many more places than I have. Although I did grow up about 15 minutes from Mt. Rushmore! ha ha
And I have been to the Great Barrier Reef and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Travel is fun.

I love these posters that you do, they are beautiful. Also reminds me a little of candyland, one of my favorite games as a kid, know that one? You could make an awesome board game out of one of these.
